last.fm tag data (filtered by genre/grouping whitelists) or discogs data are the best sources IMO.

last.fm is an option, but they don't have artist disambiguation and their tags are not limited to genre. I can't really think of anything else, though...

Hi,

I've a list of artists and I'm looking for a solution to get genre information for each of the artists.

It doesn't look like Musicbrainz has this information, correct?

Any suggestions as to sources of meta-data that might give this?
