There is a ticket on the bugtracker, so no, they're currently not supported.

There is a branch of dedicated digital music listeners that prefer to use uncompressed file formats, e.g. AIFF.
AIFF has tag support, but files of this format are not recognized by MusicBrainz Picard.

Is there any AIFF support planned?
If not, how can I propose this request?

Or maybe there is a plugin I am not aware of?
