Topic: Social networking sites not supported in URL relationships

I was just fixing up our AKB48 article and I tried to add the group's official Google+ page and it didn't go through! Which brought me here. I'm trying to compile a list of social networking sites so I can submit a ticket. I'm not sure if I should include region- or country-specific sites like Sina Weibo because that might conflict with some of our guidelines. Thoughts/suggestions/ideas?

Re: Social networking sites not supported in URL relationships

Hi,

google+ doesn't show up on the overview page (apparently) but it does show up on the "relationships" tab.

Re: Social networking sites not supported in URL relationships

Yeah, I think the only ones we show right now are the ones for which we have more than 1000 links (Facebook, Twitter, Myspace if you call that a social site [I call it shit], dunno if any other).

That can be fixed, if we can all make a concerted effort to find enough links. Google+ is relatively new, so enough artists might not have joined yet, but country- or region-specific sites like Sina Weibo or Mixi (or even Piapro, a special site for Vocaloid manipulators) might have enough potential links to qualify. As for blog aggregators, I know of a whole bunch of artists who use Ameba.

EDIT: I'm now working to add the entire Project48 Google+ circle to MusicBrainz in hopes it will help.

EDIT 2: Just finished. Man alive, that was tedious.
Now to check for other artists...

I agree with the bold too.

Or even, so called social networking is in fact either shit networking or social shit. :)
