Topic: Track numbering in Mp3Tag

Hello,

I'm currently using Mp3Tag for tagging my albums. It supports downloading tagging information from MusicBrainz. When I load the information from multi-cd releases however it occurs to me that the tracks are numbered continuously (e.g. cd 2 starts not at #1 but at #12, if cd 1 has 11 tracks).
If there are many tracks the numbers go into the hundreds which my player doesn't support (numbers above 100 get displayed only half).

Why do they not just start at #1 for each cd and numbering the discs? Is this a problem from Mp3Tag, from MusicBrainz or from the specific release (http://musicbrainz.org/release/c4ca9475 … ea7f33ae3b) ?

That means Mp3Tag hasn't updated to the current webservice (released almost a year ago, so either they have a more current version with it, or I'd assume they're not going to make the change).

Mp3tag just offers additional websource scripts to get information from sources like MusicBrainz.
Please ask the the developer of the specific script (dano?) in the Mp3tag forum for a newer/updated version.
