Topic: DVD entries for mixed CD+DVD box set releases?

Hi,

I have a number of "special edition" albums that include a DVD along with the music CD(s).  Sometimes it's a live performance of some of the album's tracks, in one case it's a documentary.  How should they be entered in the release details?  There's a media type "DVD" in the dropdown, so I was going to add a disc to the release for it, but what goes in the track details?  Try to pick out the individual songs contained in the video (if there are any) and list them as separate tracks, separate entries for each of the DVD "chapters", or just a single track entry for the entire thing?  What about running times, since the music player (rhythmbox) don't show any tracks like it would for CDs?  Or should I just add a single track entry for the DVD with the total running time listed on the packaging?

If the packaging lists any tracklist (for example, for live shows) I'd use that. For a documentary, I guess just one track, probably titled like the documentary if it has a title, works. The packaging running time sounds OK I guess? :)

You can list the songs in the documentary if they are chaptered. If they are not, there is no real need then (here is an example where I split the tracklist in as many chapters as I had as it was interesting for this case).
Please select DVD-Video, not just DVD.
