Topic: How do I fix the track durations of an album?

I believe that this release has wrong track durations: http://musicbrainz.org/release/2836f5db … dbd22b46e8

The discog links (that I can see on the bottom right on the same page) report different durations: http://www.discogs.com/master/82371 and itunes would confirm that: http://itunes.apple.com/fr/album/fragile/id83171699

I am willing to fix that, but the interface won't let me do it, for some obscure reason related to "discids". I tried to understand what a discid is. It seems to be a sha1sum of some key infos of the CD, which seems highly irrelevant when you just have a bunch of numeric files.

In the end, all I want is that my files are correctly tagged, so:
- If there is a way to modify that myself, what is the way?
Otherwise:
- If there is a way to flag the release for incorrect informations, how do I do it?
- If there is a way to tell the author of the original edit that he/she should check the information submitted, how do I do it?

DiscIDs are CD TOCs - meaning those durations come directly from the CD and as such should be correct... unless someone put the wrong discID on the release. If that's the case, you can go to the DiscIDs tab and enter an edit to remove it.

It has to be a mistake, the durations do not even remotely match. I found another site that lets you buy the CD online which reports the same durations. http://musique.fnac.com/a1756042/Tetes- … e-CD-album

I believe someone has mistakenly submitted the wrong discID, so I'll remove it.

You should also add the Digital Media release to the release group.  That way you can tag your files with the release you actually have.

Seems safer. I just cancelled my edit and added a digital media release.
