Topic: Preference File for Picard 1.0

Is the preference file for Picard 1.0 stored anywhere (on the Mac) where it is readable?  I recently installed an SSD drive in my iMac and would like to copy the tagger script over.  I have the old hard drive mounted but can't seem to locate it.  Any help would be appreciated.

I’m not sure about Mac, but on Linux it’s ~/.config/Musicbrainz/Picard.conf — maybe the same on Mac?

Re: Preference File for Picard 1.0

Thanks for the tip.  Unfortunately, I was unable to find it there.  So it's a bit of a mystery.  I was able to get to my setting by booting into the old instance and launching Picard from the old environment.  It's in there somewhere so I was able to get what I needed.

Re: Preference File for Picard 1.0

Picard uses Qts QSettings to save the preferences which has documentation about where those settings are saved.

Re: Preference File for Picard 1.0

It should always be in ~/Library/Preferences. Mine is at ~/Library/Preferences/com.musicbrainz.Picard.plist
