Topic: How to save identified files

Apologies for an obvious questioon from a newbie but I have been unable to find the answer.
I have successfully used MusicBrainz to identify some audio files with Chinese names. I have the Chinese names in the left pane and their English names in the right panel. WONDERFUL!
I'd like to now
(a) Rename the source files to the proper English names (with tags). or
(b) Save the renamed files to a folder on my system.
I have clicked on the save button but nothing appears to happen. Likewise "options/move files".
I tried to drag'n'drop the English names from the right pane into the left pane, also to d'n'd into a Windows folder, but neither works.
I am frustrated because MusicBrainz has identified the Chinese files for me, but I can't seem to go any further.
Please help.

Re: How to save identified files

Have you looked at http://musicbrainz.org/doc/How_to_Tag_Files_With_Picard ? Screenshots are slightly outdated with respect to Picard 1.0 but should get the general idea across.

Basically you need to drag the files (left hand pane) to the MB data (right hand pane). Select what you want to save on the right and then click save.

By default it will just save the tags. Once you've got that working; you can change the file renaming/moving settings and enable these functions. There's some more detail at http://musicbrainz.org/doc/MusicBrainz_ … umentation and http://musicbrainz.org/doc/MusicBrainz_ … ile_naming
