Topic: Sub types available to scripts?

I have been using the "live" %releasetype% to modify track titles by appending " (live)".  Now I'm seeing the types of some of these releases set to "ep" or somesuch with "live" as a secondary type.  Looking in Picard 1.0, the Type field is only being set to "ep" and the live info is nowhere to be seen while on Musicbrainz, it shows "ep + live".

Is the subtype info accessible from a script?

Re: Sub types available to scripts?

I don't enable any add-ons with Picard anymore. Check out Audio-Expert @ http://www.udse.de/en/audioexpert
I use AudioExpert to identify my songs using Echo-Nest and match each track to an album. I then use the look-up feature with Picard to match all my 2,000 songs to MusicBrainz albums. After all my songs are tagged with Picard, I use Acoustid-fingerprinter to submit fingerprints to Acoustid to ensure the fingerprints are accurate (I use Echo-Nest first because the metadata isn't user inputs and most of the fingerprints come from 7Digital). I use AudioExpert for MusicBrainz alignment. I like to keep my album names up-to-date with MusicBrainz Database. If "Live" or "EP" are used on the album cover, you're more than welcome to sign up for a MusicBrainz account and add that information to MusicBrainz.

Re: Sub types available to scripts?

None of that is helpful.  I am not interested that you don't use the features I'm asking about.  I am not interested in what software you use to do something different.   I have a MusicBrainz account.  I'm not interested in changing the Title info as I am sure we would all like to keep it accurate.

But, I would like access to the subtype info in the scripting language which is what I asked about.  If you don't have any information related to my question please don't respond.

Re: Sub types available to scripts?

I think the above posted is just trolling.

I just did a test and I see the problem. When there is EP and Live it does transfer that info to MusicBrainz. It looks like you can only have 1 element in Picard.

I did a browse and found an example release: (it took a while - it is always useful to give an example)

I think this is a bug in Picard.

I would report it as such:
