Topic: Last.fm
Is that integration thing still happening sometime? I haven't been able to find any info about it. I was excited when it was announced (a long time ago) but can't seem to find any news anywhere.

MB is the source of all those 'official site' etc links, and band member listings, that you see on every artist page on last.fm.
Obviously it is an ongoing thing keeping last.fm updated, and it's currently not running, due to licensing/legal issues, but that's a temporary situation according to everyone I've asked on both sides. No reason at this point to assume it won't be back in full force eventually.

I have lost all hope, actually. I originally came to MBz from AS because of their moderation system and all that jazz. Now I have sort of migrated over here and lost all interest in last.fm because they seem to concentrate their efforts on stuff that have no use for me. Page redesign, radio, blah blah. Gone are the days of Audioscrobbler, make room for bling bling last.fm.

hmm?, they actually put the data they have been collecting all along into use... much more than in the AS days. i like it, and i understand oh to well that some users can't appreciate user interface improvements, while others do.

They put the data in use ages ago, but little has been done since then.
At some point after the AS and last.fm merge (the first red design) there was talk about new moderation system, but since then the automod group that they had has been liquidated, and looks like all moderation talk has been brushed under the carpet. Maybe there is work being done as I write this, but for an outsider it looks like everything stands still.
Besides, I'm very very very very bitter about losing my automod powers a as result of the group deletion. :P All that power, all that power! :D
