Topic: Scanning files in Picard accuracy

Couldn't find the answer anywhere. What I'd like to know is does the scanning process in Picard differentiate between different versions of the album in the database? For instance, if the album has several released versions with the same number of tracks (different countries and different release numbers) will the scan function identify which of the album versions it is?

Re: Scanning files in Picard accuracy

The scanning process identifies recordings, not tracks: that is, it can only check the sound contents of the file - it has no way of knowing which is the exact release it comes from. You can select the right version manually though (if you right-click the release)

Re: Scanning files in Picard accuracy

Thanks. I knew about the right-click, that's what made me think there could be a way to differentiate audio fingerprints of different releases if they are submitted to the database.
