Hi,

Would it be correct to assume that Picard will eventually learn to download cover art from coverartarchive.org?

I already found this release that has cover art from that domain, A.R.E.S. Extinction Agenda, and Picard did not pick up the art.

Yes, it will.

Mineo has already done some work on updating the cover art plugin. It hasn't been released yet, probably because it causes the log to get a lot of lines about not being able to fetch images from coverartarchive.org when there's no coverartarchive.org image. If you want to try it anyway, https://github.com/mineo/picard/blob/1c … overart.py seems to work.
