Topic: Master finalization

I was just fixing up this release and I ran into some trouble: this scan of the booklet indicates a "master finalization" AR. So now I'm wondering: do we have a relationship that would work for this (e.g. additional mastering)? I'm currently in the process of submitting a ticket for other missing ARs (e.g. director) and don't want to sound redundant.

Re: Master finalization

Indeed additional and finalisation both sound same same to my ear…

Re: Master finalization

I've not heard of "mastering finalization" before. Do you know how it differs to "mastering"?

Re: Master finalization

No idea, it seems just like if I wrote that Bob Marley did the last minute (final) maracas performance on this or that song.
It sounds like a finishing touch or something like that, nothing technical, just language IMO.

Re: Master finalization

I would add both personnel as "mastering".

Re: Master finalization

I'd use the "additional" flag here too, and note in the annotation the literal crediting in case one day the relationship is added.

Re: Master finalization

I think your first intuition with additional was a good idea not to forget.

Re: Master finalization

I'm using this topic since is aorund the same area.
I have a credit for "X Artists/Person remastered Y Recording" but there's only the AR for mastering, should I use that one?

Re: Master finalization

I guess so, yeah
