Topic: Cover art with no url relationship or entry in Cover Art Archive

Hello! My first post here, I think MusicBrainz is the most fantastic resource on the internet.

I'm trying to understand something with cover art. Some releases have cover art, such as (http://musicbrainz.org/release/e2836645 … 4f09bc4848) and on the cover art tab it will say "We do not currently have any cover art for All Saints. The artwork in the sidebar is being provided by a URL relationship." but there is no URL relationship pointing to the image url.

I'm starting to wonder if somehow the site automatically gets the cover art when there is an Amazon ASIN and Amazon have the cover art. Is this correct?

Re: Cover art with no url relationship or entry in Cover Art Archive

It *is* true that sometimes it needs no URL relationships at all - and it takes it from searching Amazon for the barcode (in some cases with hilarious results, although usually it works). But in this case, it comes from the ASIN (which is an URL relationship to Amazon ;) ). It doesn't say the URL has to point directly to a .jpg, does it? :D

I see, thanks for such a fast response.
